The Code Enforcement Office enforces all Property Maintenance violations and complaints. Code Enforcement responds to concerns from citizens that affect the quality of life within the city such as zoning, overgrown lots or yards, inoperative vehicles, maintenance of structures, illegal signs and public nuisances. Systematic inspections are also performed throughout the borough to ensure properties are in compliance with law. In addition, Code Enforcement regulates rental properties in Bound Brook by certifying landlords are in compliance with the New Jersey State Minimum Housing Standards.
Department of Housing/Code Enforcement is responsible for yearly inspections on all rental properties.
For any complaints on any of the above, please call and leave a detailed message and all complaints will be followed up within a 48 hour period.
