Downtown Facade Improvement Program

Randy Bahr - Program Administrator

Three separate grants are available under the borough's Facade Improvement Program.

Downtown property owners and commercial tenants can apply to receive a facade grant to cover 50 percent of the project's costs, an architectural grant for design services up to $1,000 and a grant for a new awning up to $1,500.

Applications with directions in English and Spanish are available at the Borough Clerk's office.

Eligible applicants include property owners as well as commercial tenants provided they have written approval from property owners. The properties must be located along  Main Street from Rotary to Church Street.

The program runs as a reimbursement plan. Approved grant applicants submit invoices at the end of the project to receive their money. Applications will be considered for funding on a first come, first served basis.
