MIKE HABIB WILL BE MISSED

at the recent wine tasting at the Brook surrounded by friends

Maikle Habib died in a tragic accident on Sunday, August 29th at the age of 32.  Mike was the smiling face of Buy Rite Liquors.  Everyone knew him as a good guy and a good citizen.

"All you had to do was tell him what you were cooking and he would make several suggestions as to the right bottle of wine.  He was great with my kids, showing them something interesting in the store.  I feel like I lost a family member" said Mayor Carey Pilato.

Mike was young but when something needed to be done, he stepped right up to the plate.  He worked on a wine tasting at the Brook Theater recently and was committed to working with the Chamber of Commerce to reach out to all businesses in Bound Brook.

He had a real soft spot for kids and sponsored a little league team.

Mike's friend, Cal Boehme, across the way at America's Florist, will miss their "wine talks"

Councilman Hal Dietrich remembers Mike as the guy who "greeted you with a big smile and a hello the minute you walked in the door.  He always had a great recommendation for a bottle of wine.  My wife and I will miss him."

Rest in Peace, Mike.  Your hometown will never forget you.  Let's all raise a glass of wine to Mike Habib our vintner and friend.
